This web site is devoted to the Findlater family. The origins of the Findlater family lie in the lands of Mar and Buchan in Scotland. Although Scottish, we are not a Clan. Clans really belong only to the Highlands and Islands. The Findlaters are North East Lowlanders and so are in truth, a family.

Today, there are still Findlaters in Banffshire and Aberdeenshire, but Findlaters have now spread to the rest of Scotland, down into England, across the seas to Ireland, Canada, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and even into Switzerland.
